Not Croc, Still Rocks

These wallets are a mock-croc print on leather by Braun Buffel, a committed producer of quality leather goods. The wallet is made using the “brush off & tone” treatment technique, an innovative technique that gives the leather a different feel from the mock-croc leather produced with any other process. The 6CC & ID 381W Croc may not be the most attention-grabbing moniker, in fact it sounds more like a robots identification tag, but the wallets aesthetics speak for themselves. The colors are stylishly done matte with a slight sheen gloss, elegant but not too showy. This is the type of wallet Crocodile Dundee would have carried around, if anyone in the Outback had cash that is.

This wallet symbolizes how man can kill any other living thing, make using it’s tanned skin for leather products a trend, then use our superior intellect to make the actual animal obsolete. That’s right, the crocodile, in so much in it’s importance to the leather industry, is now obsolete. Crocodiles now need to keep their heads down and let us take their women. I want to go to a crocodile run restaurant and when it’s time to pay, whip out my wallet and hear the silverware drop. This wallet is also practical since it has plenty of room for cash and cards. It comes with six credit card slots, two multi-purpose slots, two billfold compartments, and one window compartment. The wallet is manufactured in Germany and comes with a Braun Buffel card of authenticity. They usually retail for about $140.00.

Sunglasses even I would wear at night

vazatak (small)

I love these sunglasses by Oliver Goldsmith. I know I was just talking about sunglasses the other day, but these are truly worth mentioning in their own right. They are limited editions and are the result of a collaboration between Oliver Goldsmith and Aseef Vaza. If both these names sound unfamiliar, well sit back and learn. OG is possibly one of the best luxury goods makers and also one of the most stylish makers of sunglasses. Vaza is a luxury leather goods designer and is notorious for creating limited edition products. This is their bastard child.

The Vazatak is made up of vintage acetate called Bengal Blue. Looking at those colors, the name seems appropriate. It looks like if someone wear to capture a space tiger, render their bones into acetate, and then make sunglasses out of them. I love it. The frames are designed after the TAK, which was originally designed back in 1969. To sweeten the deal, you get them with a beautiful VAZA-designed pouch made out of ostrich leather. These are glasses I would take almost anywhere. There is a limited amount of them and they usually retail for around $1500 to $1600.

Men's Pajama Lounge Shorts

Posted by Chuck Nelson On July - 27 - 2009

Look we love Pajamas as the next guy. They look great. They keep us warm. They hold our essentials when lounging around the house.

But, lets be honest here (we’re all friends), they are worse to sleep with than Sarah Jessica Parker. They bunch up on your legs. They overheat. They shift. We’ve been ditching them for a tank top and boxer-briefs for years. Until Now

image1xlIntroducing, the pajama shorts. They work just as good at keeping our body warm without overheating, they store your valuables, and best of all, you can actually sleep with them. We personally wear black ones from Perry Ellis but any cotton drawstring shorts will work. Think of them as the linen pants of the couch surfer. Pair them with your favorite pair of flippy floppies, and you are once again king of your castle.

Oh and make sure you empty your pockets before bed time.

Cashmere Sweaters

I really enjoy wearing sweaters, they are just such a versatile piece of clothing to have in one’s wardrobe. You might be thinking that sweaters are a strictly autumn/fall choice, but follow the right rules in wearing sweaters and they become seasonless; namely you wear woolens in the winter and cotton in the summer. Cashmere, though, can be worn year-round, just one of the many factors that make this fabric choice supreme. Cashmere is a wool fiber obtained from domestic Cashmere goats. It is strong, light, very soft to the touch, and fine in texture. Cashmere can provide maximum worth for minimum bulk, which is always a plus, especially when you consider that cashmere can get on the pricey side. That being said, the quality of the product is definitely worth the price. You can literally feel the difference between the quality of cashmere wool and and the runner-ups.

A good cashmere sweater is a great way to make a statement at a whole plethora of places. You can wear at the office over a button down shirt and some slacks, hell you can use that same ensemble on a date. You can put over a tee and some jeans if you are going someplace casual and want to stand out but not in a douchy I-wear-blazers-all-the-time way. You can get a v-neck and use it to set off a shirt underneath, if you are one of those guys that likes to layer their clothing all the time. I prefer solid color sweaters and like to keep the colors dark and neutral. Black, like the Burberry pull-over pictured above, is a great choice for someone who has never owned a cashmere since you can match it with more colors and get more bang for your buck. Please, I beg of you, don’t get some gaudy paisley-monster sweater, or worse, this black and white gucci nightmare.
